Water or Apas

In the Hindu philosophy, the Pancha Mahabhutas or Five Great Elements - Earth (Prithvi), Water (Apas), Fire (Agni), Air (Vayu), and Space (Akasha), are seen as the fundamental building blocks of all creation. They are not only physical substances but also carry deep symbolic and spiritual meanings. Representing them in female form is specially powerful. Hinduism often personifies natural and Cosmic forces as Devis (Goddesses), embodying the Shakti (divine feminine energy) that animates all of existence. This artwork depicts Water (Apas). It represents fluidity, emotion and purification. Water is associated with Goddesses like Ganga or Yamuna, sacred rivers personified. They can be sustainers of life as well as destructive force of nature.
